INDICATION:
Streptopen heme is effective against local and systemic infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to penicillin or dihydrostreptomycin such as: respiratory infections, infections of the genitourinary tract, gastrointestinal tract, peritonitis, mastitis, osteomyelitis, peritonitis, septicemia, secondary bacterial infections, joint diseases, and in cattle, horses and foals. Calves, sheep, goats, dogs and cats
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to penicillin, procaine and/or aminoglycosides.
Administration to animals suffering from severely impaired kidney function.
Side Effects:
Prolonged administration of high doses may cause renal, vestibular, and/or auditory dysfunction. Sometimes hypersensitivity reactions may occur.
Drug interaction:
It should not be given in combination with tetracycline, chloramphenicol, macrolides and lincosamides.
Usage:
Give as a deep intramuscular injection. Shake well before use.
Withdrawal time:
Meat: Cows: 23 days.
Sheep: 31 days.
Milk: 3 days
Other warnings:
– Hands must be washed after using the treatment
– Avoid contact of the treatment with eyes, mouth and skin
– Avoid eating, drinking and smoking while using the treatment
– Avoid polluting ponds, canals and water sources
– Empty containers must be disposed of in a safe and proper manner
Storage:
In a cool, dry and dark place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN.
