THIAMPHENICOL

COMPOSITION:

Each 100 ml contains:

  • Thiamphenicol 10 g.
  • Excipients up to 100 ml.

Dosage:

Poultry: 100 ml per 100 liters of drinking water for 3-5 days or (30 mg thiamphenicol / kg).

Calves and lambs: 2-3 ml per liter of drinking water or milk for 3-5 days.

Or according to the opinion of the treating physician.

INDICATION:

An antibiotic effective against Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, especially anaerobes. It is given for the treatment of diseases of the respiratory and digestive system in poultry (such as chronic respiratory infection, coryza, enteritis, colibacillus), calves and lambs.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to thiamphenicol.

Impaired hepatic or renal function.

Drug interaction:

Not to be used with other antibacterials such as penicillins and cephalosporins.

Side Effects:

Gastrointestinal disturbances and skin rash.

Usage:

It is given orally with drinking water.

Withdrawal time:

Meat: 12 days after the last dose

Do not give to chickens producing eggs intended for human consumption.

Other warnings:

Medicinal drinking water should be used within 24 hours. If water intake is increased or decreased, adjust drug concentrations accordingly to maintain desired concentration.

Storage:

In a cool, dry and dark place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C.
