COMPOSITION:

Each 1 ml contains:

  • Sodium bicarbonate 13 mg.
  • Excipients up to 1 ml.

Dosage and usage:

  • It is given by intravenous injection only.
  • It can be given directly intravenously, but it is recommended to be given with isotonic intravenous solutions.
  • It is recommended to infuse the recommended dose over a period of 4-8 hours, as this is the best way to return the blood to its natural acidity.
  • Dosage in various animals: from 5 to 8 ml per 1 kg of body weight. In general, the dosage depends on the degree of blood pH estimated by the veterinarian.

INDICATION:

To treat cases of blood acidity in various animals resulting from:

  • Increase the intake of carbohydrate-rich feed in ruminants.
  • Acute kidney injuries.
  • Uncontrolled diabetes in dogs.
  • Diarrhea accompanied by the loss of a large amount of bicarbonate, and diarrhea in dehydrated suckling calves.

Contraindications:

  • It should not be given to animals lacking chloride ions.
  • It should not be given to animals suffering from alkalosis.

Warnings:

  • It should not be given at the same time with calcium solutions, atropine, florfenicol, and penicillin.
  • Excessive doses cause alkalosis.
  • Giving the animal a large amount within a short time; May cause heart attack.
  • The package is a single dose, so; It is best to dispose of the remainder.
  • Use only a clear solution that does not contain sediment.
